How it all started
Polka Dot was founded by Colin and Lorraine Wilson in 1994. Colin and Lorraine took on Castle Douglas Post Office and introduced a small selection of cards and Polka Dot was created. Over the last 29 years the selection of cards & gifts has grown and continues to go from strength to strength.
In 2018, Polka Dot Too was opened alongside Polka Dot to offer our customer a wider range of gifts.
Our mission here at Polka Dot is to give our customers the best selection of cards & gifts in the region, together with excellent customer service.
Our Aims
Our main goal and ethos over the years has been to embrace the concept of shop local. Our ethos of shop local has allowed Polka Dot and Castle Douglas Post Office to be a massive part of the Castle Douglas community to which we are proud & privileged to serve. Many of our customers have become more like friends than customers over the years.
